Jake Campbell was born in South Shields in 1988. He has two pamphlets: The Coast Will Wait Behind You (Art Editions North, 2015) and Definitions of Distance (Red Squirrel Press, 2012). A recipient of New Writing North’s Andrew Waterhouse Award, Jake has just begun an AHRC-funded PhD in Creative Writing at Newcastle University, where he is researching the use of the palimpsest as a model and metaphor in North-East poetries.
